AI consulting in Mexico

Updated: September 16, 2026 · By Teckel AI

Teckel AI is an applied artificial intelligence consultancy headquartered in Mexico City that works in English and Spanish, for companies inside and outside Mexico. It does not sell strategy decks. It diagnoses where AI pays first in your operation, designs the system, builds it inside the processes you already run, and stays through adoption with the team that has to use it.

The entry points are public: the diagnosis is free, the strategy report is 50 USD, AI Websites start at 2,500 USD and the Implementation Sprint starts at 5,000 USD, with a working demo in 48 hours and production in 21 days. Direct contact is george@teckel-ai.com. If you are reading this from outside Mexico, the rest of this page answers the four questions that actually decide the deal: overlap, data law, contract, and how to tell a real firm from a deck factory.

What does an AI consultancy in Mexico actually deliver?

Three lines of work, with one rule across all of them: what gets delivered runs inside the business and stays measured. Nothing ships as a recommendation slide.

Line 1

Consulting and implementation

  • Diagnosis of where AI pays first in your operation.
  • A system designed for the real process, not a generic template.
  • Built, deployed and handed over with the team that will use it.
Line 2

AI Websites

  • A site that answer engines and agents can actually read.
  • Server rendered content, structured data, per crawler policy.
  • Server side measurement of which engines read you.
Line 3

Agentic commercial systems

Does hiring in Mexico cost you quality?

This is the real question behind the search, so here is the evidence instead of a reassurance. The largest public study of enterprise generative AI in 2025, the MIT NANDA report The GenAI Divide: State of AI in Business 2025, surveyed executives and frontline users across 52 organizations and analyzed more than 300 public implementations. Its executive summary is blunt about what separates the winners from everyone else:

"Just 5% of integrated AI pilots are extracting millions in value, while the vast majority remain stuck with no measurable P&L impact." MIT NANDA, The GenAI Divide: State of AI in Business 2025, executive summary

And, in the same paragraph, the part that answers the geography question directly:

"This divide does not seem to be driven by model quality or regulation, but seems to be determined by approach." MIT NANDA, The GenAI Divide: State of AI in Business 2025, executive summary

The same report measured the funnel: 60% of organizations evaluated enterprise grade AI tools, 20% reached a pilot and 5% reached production. It also found that projects run with outside specialists succeeded in 67% of cases against 33% for those built in house. McKinsey measured the same gap from the other side in November 2025: 88% of companies already use AI in at least one function, and 6% see material impact on the bottom line. Gartner projected in June 2025 that more than 40% of agentic AI projects will be cancelled before the end of 2027.

None of those numbers move because of where the team sits. They move with whether someone puts the system into production and stays until people use it. That is the criterion to apply to any firm you shortlist, in Mexico City, Austin or Berlin.

How do the time zones work?

Mexico City is at UTC-6 all year. Most of the country stopped changing clocks on October 30, 2022, when daylight saving time was abolished; the exceptions are Baja California and the border municipalities of Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo Leon and Tamaulipas, which still follow the United States schedule. The practical effect for a buyer abroad:

Where you areWhat the overlap looks like
United States, CentralSame clock in winter, one hour ahead of Mexico City in summer. A full working day of overlap either way.
United States, East coastOne to two hours ahead. Your morning and our morning are the same meeting.
United Kingdom and EuropeSix to eight hours ahead. Your afternoon meets our morning, which is enough for a daily standup and same day answers.
AustraliaOpposite sides of the clock. Workable with one fixed window a day and asynchronous handoff for the rest.

Overlap matters more than headcount. A 21 day production timeline only works if a question asked at 9 a.m. your time gets answered the same day, not the next one.

What law covers your data when the work happens in Mexico?

Mexico rewrote its private sector data protection regime in 2025. The Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties was published in the Diario Oficial de la Federacion on March 20, 2025 and took effect on March 21, 2025. Three things changed that matter to a foreign buyer:

This page is information, not legal advice; your counsel decides how it applies to you. The operational point is simpler: ask any vendor, in any country, where your data lives, who can read it, which subprocessors touch it and what happens to it when the contract ends. Then ask for that in writing.

What does it cost, and what is the smallest first step?

Entry pointPriceWhat you get
DiagnosisFreeA review of the business case and of where AI can create value in your operation.
Strategy report50 USDThe prioritized opportunities, written down.
AI WebsiteFrom 2,500 USDA site engines and agents can read, with server side measurement.
Implementation SprintFrom 5,000 USDWorking demo in 48 hours, production in 21 days.

Prices are published in US dollars and final scope closes per project. The short timeline is not a sales promise, it is a defense: when the first version runs in week one, a bad idea costs you a week instead of two quarters of committee. The full price landscape by project type is in how much AI implementation costs.

How do you evaluate a Mexican AI firm before you sign?

Do not take this site's word for it. Four checks travel well across borders:

The longer version of this list is in the questions to ask before hiring an AI consultant, and the difference between the two kinds of vendor that quote this work is in AI agency vs AI consultant.

What Teckel AI does not do

Frequently asked questions

Can I hire a Mexican AI consultancy if my company is not in Mexico?

Yes. Teckel AI is headquartered in Mexico City and delivers remotely in English and Spanish, for companies inside and outside Mexico. The work happens inside your systems, so the deciding factors are working hours overlap, the contract and the data rules, not the street address. Delivery, documentation and handover are done in English when the client works in English.

What time zone is Mexico City in, and how much overlap do I get?

Mexico City is at UTC-6 all year. Most of Mexico stopped changing clocks on October 30, 2022, when daylight saving time was abolished, with the exception of Baja California and the border municipalities of Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo Leon and Tamaulipas, which still follow the United States schedule. In practice this means a full working day of overlap with United States Central and Eastern time, a partial afternoon with the United Kingdom and Europe, and an early morning window with Australia.

Which law protects personal data processed in Mexico?

The Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties, published in the Diario Oficial de la Federacion on March 20, 2025 and in force since March 21, 2025. It replaced the previous law and moved enforcement from INAI, which was dissolved, to the Secretaria Anticorrupcion y Buen Gobierno. It keeps the privacy notice as the central obligation of whoever holds the data and adds amparo before specialized judges as the route of defense. This page is information, not legal advice: your counsel decides how it applies to your case.

Does hiring in Mexico mean lower quality AI work?

The evidence says the failure mode is not geography. MIT NANDA measured in 2025 that 95% of organizations are getting zero return from generative AI and wrote that the divide does not seem to be driven by model quality or regulation, but seems to be determined by approach. The same body of research found that projects run with outside specialists succeeded in 67% of cases against 33% when built in house. What to check is the approach and the track record of putting systems into production, in any country.

What does it cost to start with Teckel AI?

The public entry points are: a free diagnosis, a strategy report at 50 USD, AI Websites from 2,500 USD and an Implementation Sprint from 5,000 USD, with a working demo in 48 hours and production in 21 days. Final scope and price are agreed per project. Prices are published in US dollars.

Who owns the code and the data at the end of the project?

That belongs in the written scope before anyone starts building, and it is the question that separates a supplier from a dependency. Ask three things in writing: who keeps the source code, who holds the credentials and the accounts where the system runs, and what happens to your data if the relationship ends. A firm that cannot answer those three in one page is quoting you a hostage, not a system.
